Back Where I Belong

Posted on

Ok, so I have had my fill of straight hair. I washed my hair as always, deep conditioned (with egg this time) blowdried my hair on cool and flat ironed my hair on a 410 degree tempature. So, I went from this:

freshly washed
blowdried hair

To this…………

flat ironed hair

I enjoyed my straight hair, but as always I am ready to go back to my curls! So, Curlmart.com sent me a sample of AG Hair Cosmetics REcoil Curl Activating shampoo and conditioner. So, since I want my curls back I thought this would be a great time to try it out, and I did! The results……
I think it did great reverting back! My hair was sooooooooo soft. Really. The product is sulfate-free as well. Here is the link if you are interested: http://www.curlmart.com/product/ag-re-coil-curl-activating-shampoo/

The sad part? For 8 0z. of shampoo, 16.00 is a bit pricey! That’s usually how it is though. The stuff your hair falls in love with, is usually economically not feasable (sigh….)

What Would Jesus Do?

Posted on

Ok, so my brother-in-Christ has challenged us this week to tell somebody about Jesus, and I’ve accepted, but let me guess…you already know about our Lord and Savior right? How about we do it this way, first of all, this blog is not going to do anything for you if you don’t believe in “the” word of God, “The Bible” King James. However, I know without a shadow of a doubt someone out there in “Bloggersville” trusts in His word and believe the King James Bible to be the foundation of their faith. So, with that being said, lets start with Cain and Able. If you’re familiar with the testimony of their worship that they presented to God in the book of Genesis, we know that Cain and Able were brothers, we know they were both required to give an offering up to the Lord. Here is what I find interesting regarding their worship to God, in today’s terms, it has been said that it doesn’t matter what faith you are, as long as you believe in God then we all “worship” the same God.

Well, when you study the worship of Cain and Able, if how we worship God doesn’t matter, why did God accept Able’s offering but not Cain’s? If you study Cain and Able, they both worshiped the same God, but in different ways, but God only accepted one?? (Able’s worship was done out of obedience and Cain’s worship was done out of convinence) So, “how” we worship God matters. Hmmmm…..something to think about right?

Let’s look at something else worth researching:
The Ethiopian Eunich-if you read the book of Acts,Chapter 8 verse 27-38 you’ll see where the Ethiopian eunich wants to know more about this “lamb” being spoken of in the old testament, and Phillip explains to him who he is (Christ Jesus) and what’s required of the eunich if he is to become a “follower” of Jesus Christ. Now, obviously, Phillip told him that baptism is a “requirement” for being a follower of Christ. Why do I come to that conclusion? The eunich asks in verse 36 “see, here is water, what hinders me from being baptized?” If all the eunich had to do was believe, then Phillip had every opportunity to tell him so right then and there. So that is something else that I encourage you to study, baptism is essential to your belief. It is a requirement by God, if we claim to “believe” on Him. Then our “faith” will have us act on that belief by doing what He says.

In fact, What would Jesus do? Let’s find out! In the book of Matthew Chapter 3 verse 16 shows that Christ himself was baptized! If we are going to be “true” followers of Christ, shouldn’t we then do what He did? Leave your comments below, and lets get the understanding we need regarding our soul salvation! It’s too important! Hey, we investigate everything else before jumping in….our car insurance, buying a home, going to the dentist, let’s put that same energy into our souls!

My Daily “Candy”

Posted on

Well, not really. My multi-vitamins were sitting on my dresser, and my daughter wanted to know if she could have a piece of chocolate. So, I bursts her curiosity bubble when I told her, “it looks like chocolate, but it tastes like medicine.” Then I proceeded to tell her how it was really a vitamin, and they just make the package look pretty so you will buy it, and she says, “And you fell for it?!” Lol. I told her yes I did! Truthfully, I hate swallowing pills, so I opted for the chews! Let me share what I take daily with you guys:

Protective Styling It

Posted on

I have a week to go before I flat iron my hair. (I think, I may wait til the 19th of August) Why? Well, just more summer stuff before the kids go back to school, and I just don’t think I will have the energy to flat iron it. 😦 So, here is my protective bun that I sometimes wear, I am still geting the hang of trying to hide the lil foam doughnut! Lol

I think I need to purchase a bigger foam bun maker (guess that’s what it’s called) It seems to be too close to my head in my opinion. So, I will consider if I am going to flat iron or not. In the meantime, I am about to run out of my Curls Unleased, any suggestions?

Beautiful In Bronze

Hey all! I saw these nail colors in Walmart and thought, “Oh, how pretty……” It looks so rich. It’s a bit too flashy for my finger nails (that’s just me), so I bought it for my toes. Not sure when I will get them done, but it’s beautiful to me. Don’t you agree? The colors are left to right:
